My client based in Central London are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help support them on a very large server migration project. You will be working as a technical consultant providing 3rd line BAU Support as well as being responsible for a 250 server migration for 5000 users from an on-premise to an off-premise Azure cloud solution.
In this position you will effectively be the orchestrator, with the exception of 3rd Line BAU work, you will be completely hands off, it will not be yourself carrying out the actual server migration work, however you will be the one who provides the blue print/plan and direction to the 3rd party in relation to server migration, the third party carrying out the migration work will be directed by you on how the work should be completed.
You will be required to effectively manage relationship with external vendor suppliers and resources (DXC, BT, and CISCO etc.). Raising, managing and representing all changes through an ITIL change process at the stakeholder Change Boards and meetings using "Service Now", Remedy and Jira.
Key skills required: does not need to be in-depth knowledge
- Change control and management

- Citrix aware and app packaging (App-V) aware
- Understanding of IT Security Processes
- Azure experience would be advantageous
