Lecturer in Makeup Artistry

Hours: Up to 35 hours per week.

Full-time or part time hours / job share will be considered. If applying on a part time basis please state your preferred hours per week.

Main Location: Granton Campus


Salary - £37,105 - £38,519 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)

Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of Lecturer in Makeup Artistry.

What we can offer you

The main purpose of the role will be to lecturer on the Makeup Artistry courses; these courses include NC, HNC and HND level course.

You will also be responsible for on-going scholarship and research or knowledge transfer work, (this could be in industry settings) and contribute to Performing Arts profile and reputation. This role will include practice-based teaching at NC, HNC and HND and/or the teaching of research skills and the supervision of academic writing in Makeup Artistry.

You will be required to teach, assess, internally verify and provide feedback to students and will be required to support the wider Performing Arts team by supporting Makeup for any of the Performing arts shows that take place when requested - these take place evenings or some weekends. You will be required to support the Performing arts commercial evening courses in Makeup Artistry, and will be part of the recruitment process for the Makeup artistry department by taking part in the selection process of new candidates. Furthermore, you will also be required to support the on-going development of the department by contributing to resource packages that provide up to date learning materials. This will support external verification visits.

What you can offer us

You will have a relevant degree and current make up artistry teaching knowledge as well as experience in teaching make up artistry or related subjects.
