For this exciting opportunity to become a SEN teaching assistant you must have achieved at least a 2:1 or above in your Psychology degree. School based experience is not essential, as long as you have worked with SEN and children previously and feel that you can transfer those skills. You must be calm and have a determined personality in order to make an impact on the pupils learning.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teachers to support pupils learning. You will assist the class teachers with preparing and planning fun activities. You will ensure the best possible education and ensure the pupils receive the support needed. You will be required to be an excellent motivator to inspire the pupils learning and be committed to their success. This is the perfect opportunity for a Psychology graduate to earn up to £300 per week whilst building SEN experience prior to teacher training or studying to become an educational psychologist. The most important thing is that you are passionate about supporting children with significant learning barriers as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
