Lecturer in Voice

Part time - 19.1 Hours per week

Main Location: Granton Campus

Permanent

Salary - £37,105 - £38,519 per annum (pro rata)

Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of Voice Lecturer.



What we can offer you

The main purpose of the role will be to lecture on the Acting and Performance Courses; these courses include NC, HNC and HND level course.

You will also be responsible for on-going scholarship and research or knowledge transfer work (this could be in industry settings) and contribute to Performing Arts profile and reputation. This role will include practice-based teaching at NC, HNC and HND and/or the teaching of research skills and the supervision of academic writing in voice theory and anatomy.

You will be required to teach, assess, internally verify and provide feedback to students and will be required to support the wider Acting team by supporting voice for any of the Acting shows that take place, evenings or some weekends. You will be part of the recruitment process for the Acting department by taking part in the selection process of new candidates and will also be required to support the on-going development of the department by contributing to resource packages that provide up to date learning materials. This will support external verification visits.

What you can offer us

Educated to degree level in relevant discipline, you will have current voice teaching knowledge in theory and anatomy as well as experience in teaching voice for acting or related subjects
