Gleeson are currently partnering with a superb listed technology company based in Sutton Coldfield who are recruiting for a Financial Reporting Manager. The role will report directly into the Group Financial Controller with regular exposure to the Group CFO and Chief Executive.

The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of Group Consolidation for P&L, B/S and C/F
  • Monthly results consolidation and submission to Board in the agreed format including commentary and analysis
  • Driving month end timetable to ensure completion of Board Reporting
  • Cash flow reporting and forecasting including advising on monthly payment levels, setting and monitoring credit control targets, monitoring bank covenant compliance and providing weekly cash updates to CFO
  • Management of Group Company ledgers Reconciliation of intercompany balances and monitoring of intercompany transactions
  • Preparation of group VAT returns and review of divisional returns
  • Management of submission of tax computations and provisioning
  • Preparation of individual statutory accounts under IFRS
  • Preparation of Group accounts at year end and half year
  • Consolidation of Budget for P&L, B/S and C/F and preparation of analysis thereon for presentation to Board and non-finance budget holders
  • Preparation of budget for head office companies
  • Control of central accounting items, e.g. loan notes, share options
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the businesses as required on one-off or unusual transactions
  • Prepare first draft documents of accounting policies and guidance/application notes
  • Maintaining a high level of technical accounting knowledge (IFRS) and keeping up to date with changes, ensuring accounting policies are kept in line with changes
  • Assist with quality review of divisional management accounts (compliance with GAAP and group accounting policies)

The Successful Financial Reporting Manager will have/be:

  • ACA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong Reporting background with in depth technical accounting knowledge
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrable exposure to senior staff
  • Exposure to a group function would be ideal
