Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional with knowledge of ISO and quality business standards?

Our rail client in Kilmarnock is looking to recruit an experienced QSE (Quality, Safety and Environment) Technician to join their QSE Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will take active participation in the compliance, development and implementation of the company's procedures, quality management and all relevant legislation with respect to safety, the quality of business standards & performance management and associated policies.

You will be a good communicator and have excellent leadership skills as you will deliver verbal and written reports. You will have a high-level approach to Safety, Environment and Quality matters and be a trusted point of contact.

Your key responsibilities will be:
* You will support delivery/improvement of QSE management systems including data collection,
analysis and reporting.
* You will actively participate and co-ordinate the application of QPS tools and techniques
* Undertake Risk, CoSHH and associated assessments; provide support regarding communication
and implementation of safe systems of work.
* Actively support supplier management requirements
* Production of detailed investigation reports and statistics
* Perform assessments, QSE audits and surveys in the workplace and on supplier/customer
* Conduct Induction, H&S training and development of staff on relation to QSE objectives.
* Competence assessment in conjunction with relevant Production Engineer
* Undertake occupational health and safety surveys and workplace HS & E/QA inspections and
* You will support at QSE meetings, preparation of minutes and inspection/audit reports
* Accident & QSE Incident Investigations; created of related reports & data
* Preparation of Quality and Safety plans, conduct inspections of production processors
including first article inspections when applicable.

Person Specification:
* Previous experience within Safety, Quality and Environmental role is essential.
* A good understanding and usage of Microsoft office applications
* Previous Internal Auditing experience to 9001:2008 or 2015
* Good communication skills
* Good reporting skills
* Understanding and previous experience of using problem solving tools (5 Whys, 8D, etc)
* Ability to conduct & create Risk & CoSHH Assessments
* Process mapping
* Trend analysis

Qualifications needed:
* IOSH Managing Safely - Essential
* NEBOSH General Certificate - Health & Safety - Desirable
* Auditing 9001
