Baltic Training Services and Langley Foxall are proud to be recruiting for a Software Developer Apprentice to join their expanding team based in Stafford.

Founded in 2014, Langley Foxall are a Software Development company who specialise in services including Website Design and Mobile Development for leading platforms such as iOS, Android and Windows!
Due to their exciting expansion,they are now looking for an individual who practices coding in their free time to join their experienced and growing team.

About Apprenticeships

You will be working in a team of 10 existing staff and will be mentored and trained by the Director to carry out the following duties:
  • Software design and testing
  • De-bugging
  • Develop and creating commercial applications for the app store
  • Deploying applications to the app store
  • Providing support to clients with their apps
  • Supporting the service desk
Training to be Provided:
  • Advanced Apprenticeship in Software Development.
  • Software Development Environment, Roles and Structure.
  • Software Data, Interfaces & Security.
  • Software Development Processes.
  • Developing Code Using Good Practices & Logic.
  • Software Development Requirements.
  • Functional Skills; ICT, Maths and English Level 2.
Skills and Qualifications required:
  • Writing and Testing code in your free time (code academy)
  • Knowledge in HTML, CSS, Python or Java
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Experience creating a website or an App
  • Experience testing code
  • Technically minded
  • Hardworking and Mature
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • 5 GCSE's A - C
  • Passion for Software Development

Upon completion of the 12-month programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our Level 4 programme and take your training even further.

Salary, hours and benefits
  • £160 per week
  • Full time , 8.00AM - 5.00PM (40 hours per week)
  • 20 Holidays plus bank holidays
Location and travel
This role is located north of Stafford Town Centre near Tollgate industrial estate, although limited by public transport, there are a number of bus routes available including the 101 and 11 and there is a free onsite car park for those who drive.
