Job Title IT Application Specialist

Location Leicester

Salary £20,000 per annum

The Role

You will be part of a fast-paced Technical Support Team within a finance function of a large organisation, and will be assisting with maintaining, supporting and developing financial applications, as well as:

  • Assisting Finance, key business managers and end users by implementing best practise processes and contributing to monthly KPI's.

  • Running of bulk sales ledger processes.

  • Dealing with access rights for internal systems.

  • Setting up and maintaining new user and supplier accounts.

  • Using the shared mailboxes and helpdesk for end user enquiry management.

  • End user training and documentation for purchasing and expenses.

  • Contract database management.

  • Issue resolution management, both from a technical and business process perspective.

  • Ensuring integration management across applications and data integrity within each application.

  • Assisting with System configuration and development.

  • Testing of new version releases for all applications.

  • Supporting the continuous improvement of TSS processes.

  • New business migrations.

The Candidate

You will have a background in IT, and be passionate about providing service to a large volume of end users, as well as be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent MS office skills: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook.

  • Inquisitive nature.

  • Methodical, with a high attention to detail.

  • Flexibility and the ability to multi-task within a varied working day.

  • Ability to react quickly to issues and requests where required.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with users at all levels.

  • System administration experience (desirable).

  • Understanding of financial processes (desirable).

  • Purchase, Sales or General Ledger experience (desirable).

The Package

Salary: £20,000 per annum

25 days' holiday (+1 day extra per each year, maximum 30) + bank holidays.

Working hours: 8:30am - 5pm (37.5 hours per week).
