Legal Sector Accounts Assistant 4 month Temporary Assignment

Outline of role
Co-coordinating the firm’s cheque register, ensuring all cheques received by the firm are paid in on the day of receipt or the day after.
Daily checking of London and Brussels online banking to ensure all receipts are dealt
allocated and posted in a timely manner.
Ensuring any Not Yet Paid Disbursements included in invoices being paid are paid out on day of receipt or day after.
Co-ordination of third party currency invoices to be sent to Global Exchange and the posting into Aderant of the upload files that they return
Assisting in the monitoring of the approvals queue’s in Chrome River
Assisting in the reviewing client balances on a monthly basis and liaising with partners and clients to return or dispense funds.
Assisting in providing client monies ledger reports for fee earners.
Ordering of foreign currency for attorneys and managers from MoneyCorp.
Posting of Travel Advance requests in Aderant
Co-ordination of the returning of unused currency to MoneyCorp
Reconciliation of travel accounts including processing and posting of expenses and gain/loss.
Production of monthly personal account statements for electronic dispatch to employees.
Assisting in the preparation and posting of personal account bills and reconciliation of same.
Assisting the Revenue Controller in producing, checking and dispatching regular reminder
letters, statements and emails to clients in line with our policy and ensuring that all queries
and any requests for payment have been followed up in a timely manner, reporting any issues
Assisting with client requests for copy bills, bank details or requests for breakdowns as well as resolving queries directly with clients where necessary.
Entering and maintaining of notes in the Collections system.
Ensuring that your Collections notes are highlighted with a follow up/deadline date to ensure
that you can follow up within the correct time frame and also that your work can be monitored and followed up as necessary by other team members.
Opening and distributing the team post
Assisting the entire team with filing and scanning
Other ad hoc duties as required from time to time
