Chartered Technical Engineering Manager -- Client Side -- 80k -- West End (London)



One of the UK's leading Hospital establishments require an Chartered Technical Engineering Manager to provide overall management of the mechanical & electrical services and systems of the sites. You will be the lead advisor to projects team on all engineering new capital projects.



As the Chartered Technical Engineering Manager you will have responsibility for the creation of the systems and procedures to operate the mechanical & electrical services and that they are in place and operating so that the safety of patients, staff and visitors is protected as far as is reasonably practical within the resources available. After training (if required) become the approved/named/authorised/competent person in respect of all mechanical & electrical services including but not restricted to HV/LV, Medical Gas, Confined Space. This will lead to acting as 'subject matter expert' for all relevant systems; Medical Gases, Water, Pressure, HVAC, LOLER, HV/LV system, to current Legislative, Regulatory, Statutory and Department of Health requirements. The Chartered Technical Engineering Manager will also have extensive mechanical & electrical design experience gained from consultancy or design & build contractor.



Successful individuals will ideally have 10 years of increasing experience and responsibility as an mechanical & electrical engineer with extensive design and project management experience. Including the following qualifications:

- Chartered Engineer (Preferred) or Incorporated Engineer

- HNC/HND/BSc/BEng or MSc in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering

- Health & Safety qualification NEBOSH general Certificate (minimum)

- High Voltage Authorised Person (or ability to achieve this within 6 months)

- Medical Gas Authorised Person (or ability to achieve this within 6 months
