Technical Services Analyst / ReMetrica / BDX / Pythagoras / SQL / VMware

My client is looking for a Technical Services Analyst to join their customer-service focused Technical Services team and provide a high standard of 'business as usual', proactive and reactive support across the client's organisation. The role will involve providing 2nd/3rd line support within the organisation and offer primary technical escalation for the Service Desk as well providing wider project support.

Exposure to industry specific applications: ReMetrica, BDX, Pythagoras, SunSystems, RMS would be highly advantageous.

The role

  • Assist in planning and deployment of new applications and enhancing existing core business applications services
  • Assist with the creation of user guides and technical reference guides
  • Liaise directly with 3rd party suppliers to ensure the resolution of all incidents/requests relating to services which fall under the Technical Services team's responsibility
  • Liaise directly with 3rd line support teams to ensure the resolution of all incidents/requests
  • Provide guidance/support to other members of the Service Desk team and help develop the knowledge and skills of others
  • Contribute information about known errors and workarounds relating to incidents and problems
  • Work with internal and external project management teams on key projects for both support and packaging purposes

Technical Capabilities

  • Windows Active Directory and Exchange 2010/13
  • Citrix XenDesktop 7.6 / AppSense / XenApp 6/6.5
  • VMware vSphere 5.1/6 and/or other virtualisation solutions
  • Proficient in PowerShell 2.0/3.0
  • Exposure to industry specific applications: ReMetrica, BDX, Pythagoras, SunSystems, RMS would be highly advantageous
  • Microsoft SQL: script execution and database administration (backups/refresh)
  • Server maintenance and administration (Win 2003/2008/2012) including troubleshooting and monitoring
  • ITIL foundation qualification desirable or knowledge operating within an ITIL framework
