Job Role

The company require a proactive IT support apprentice with an aptitude for communication and interest in Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Windows.

Quickly assimilating new technologies, being able to apply what is learnt and showing a genuine enthusiasm for the technology are critical to this position’s success.

As a Microsoft IT Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:

·Become a valued part of the IT Support team.

·Learn how to provide technical support to marketing channels and activities.

·Gain on the job experience and be able to utilize the skills you have gained over the duration of your apprenticeship.

·Learn how to handle telephone support calls as well as incoming Helpdesk emails.

·Manage the Helpdesk system, ensuring all calls are handled within appropriate timescales.

·Providing telephone and email support to customers to OS, Application, network and hardware issues

·Resolving problems by remote control or visiting in person if required

·Escalating calls where necessary either internally or to 3rd parties

·Administration duties such as setting up and maintenance of all user accounts or variety of platforms

·Keeping Various Databases up to date and additional record keeping and documentation

The Company was born with a desire to improve operational IT through strategic use of Cloud technologies.

With over 15 years operating in the Cloud computing space from Manchester UK, their founders know just how to get things done efficiently. Having built their own self-healing infrastructure, they have created an Infrastructure as a Service offering allowing their customers to provision their own virtual data centres controlling all the elements themselves. Of course, their Cloud architects are on hand to build, plan or deploy solutions.

Qualifications & trainingThe company require a bright, enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a genuine desire to learn and to build a career within the IT industry. You will have a friendly personality, be able to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least a C grade in both GCSE Math’s & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You should have a GCSE/BTEC/A Level in ICT or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers and IT.

·You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and a brilliant telephone manner.

·You will be willing to work hard and eager to learn.

Training Provided

You will be enrolled on to the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. You will work towards gaining skills across a variety of technical areas including Cloud Technologies and Network Fundamentals. This will extend also business processes and project management. You will also have the opportunity to gain some globally recognised Microsoft certifications.

Important InformationLocation: M16 – Manchester

Working Hours: Monday – Friday – 9.00am – 5.00pm (1hr paid lunch) 37.5hrs

Wage: £153 - £250 Per week – £8,000 - £12,000 Per annum (depending on experience)
