Commodities Sales Broker

Location: London, W1

Salary: £30-45k base + commission (Expected first year earnings are £100k+)

25 days holiday + stakeholder pension, mobile phone allowance

My client is a leading precious metals commodities brokerage who specialise in selling physical pieces of gold and silver as an investment to the public. They are ranked no. 2 in the Money Week Directory of physical gold bullion companies as well as frequently being featured in various news outlets such as the Financial Times, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Daily Mail, Metro and CNBC.

With a unique reputation for providing a personalised & consultative approach they are renown for standing out from the competition by connecting with their clients and offering a personal and tailored approach to their investments.

The role:

We are looking for an ambitious, motivated, intelligent, well-spoken sales professional with a keen interest in investment and the precious metals industry. Full training, support and education from the managing director will be provided and the right candidate can expect to progress to a leadership position as the team grows.

The role is primarily a sales role, with the flexibility and scope to involve yourself with other areas of the business (Marketing, SEO, Advertising, Finance, Writing).

About you:

You will have previous sales experience working as a sales broker within either of the following industries:

-Finance (stocks, commodities, securities, derivatives, capital, money)

-Fine Wine

-Luxury items



·Convert enquiries into sales. We have a strictly no cold calling policy, all our enquiries are warm, and we receive a growing amount of inbound calls from people looking to invest in gold or silver.

·You will be expected to cultivate relationships with clients with a view to cross selling and up selling products.

·You would also be required to undertake administration that supports the company’s overall sales function, including documenting trades.

·Writing blogs and articles for the website and financial press.

·Sourcing, exploring and securing intermediary arrangements with introducers who ultimately sell our product, from which one can earn a continuing commission.

·Creating further distribution channels through IFA sales– thereby enhancing volume-based repetitive orders.

·Cultivating and developing infrastructure of business through marketing, innovative ideas and additional revenue-generating mechanisms.

·Growing the entire business in line with the “bigger picture”.


·Degree with a 2:1 class or higher.

·Proven track record of successful sales experience.

·Three years plus stable experience.

·Interest in current affairs and money markets.

·Excellent telephone etiquette.

·Gravitas required to captivate clients of all levels.

·Strong numerical ability.

·Strong written skills.
