Year 4 Class Teacher
Year 4 Class Teacher- Croydon- September 2018 Start Permanent Role| Main Pay Scale (Outer London)
I am currently working with a friendly and diverse 3 form entry in the borough of Croydon, who are seeking a dedicated, engaging and creative teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2018.
About the role:
You will be teaching a class of 30 mixed ability children, accompanied by a TA. There are likely to be the standard range of SEN needs in the class, and an above average number of EAL pupils and new starters to English. It is important that you are able to plan and deliver inspiring and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage Two National Curriculum, which appropriately challenge more able learners and provide additional support for pupils that require extra help. The school has a dedicated EAL team that run booster sessions for children with lower levels of English, away from the mainstream classroom.
About the school:
You will be joining a warm and welcoming school with an extremely friendly and sociable staff team. The senior leadership team are highly supportive, and there are plenty of opportunities for continued professional growth and development, as well as free staff aerobics sessions and yoga classes available to all staff. As the school is a 3 form entry, you will be accompanied by 2 other co-teachers, who you can share planning with. The school has a high number of Pupil Premium children, however attainment is above average across the school, and the teachers are extremely dedicated and hard-working. The facilities at the school are excellent, and include a large playground and playing field, and a state of the art library.
In order to be considered for this position, you must have QTS and an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one. You must also be able to provide at least 2 valid teaching references. NQTS are invited to apply for the position.
