A leading cost and efficiency improvement consultancy specialising in enhancing the financial and operational performance for clients are looking for a Trainee Management Accountant to join the growing finance team. This a permanent full time job opportunity.
Your new role
Sitting in the finance team, you will report directly to the Finance Manager, and will be expected to develop strong relationships across the business, assisting with transactional finance control procedures and commercial contributions to both our internal support functions and the consulting delivery teams. Your responsibilities will change over time and give you the opportunity to experience a wide range of the finance functions and processes within the business, including; processing sales and purchase invoices, managing contractor timesheets and transactions, processing employee expenses, processing company fixed assets, maintaining the bank and cash books, dealing with general ledger queries as well as carrying out various month-end reporting and data analysis.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you need a desire to learn and develop and you will be eager to begin or already studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA). Furthermore, you will be confident using Excel to an intermediate level, whilst also demonstrating strong attention to detail with an investigative nature. Additional qualities required include the ability to integrate and communicate effectively within the existing Finance team and wider business functions through collaboration, best practice sharing and ad hoc support. Capability to prioritise workloads to ensure all deadlines are met will also be a core competency of this position.
