Due to ongoing growth and another financially strong year, there is an immediate, Permanent requirement for a Plant Engineer to join the successful operation in Northumberland.

Will report into to the Operations Engineering Manager, will be responsible for providing the required level of process plant availability at minimum cost, while meeting all regulatory safety and cGMP requirements

Key Responsibilities

·As a SAP user the job holder will be required to carry out assigned SAP transactions in an accurate and timely manner

·Ensure that all engineering work conducted meets all cGMP requirements

·Ensure that all Company quality procedures are followed in all maintenance work

·Provide a point of contact for engineering and technical advice for all outsourced Alliance contracts and partnerships.

·Promote high housekeeping standards, and monitor compliance

·Assist production in achieving budgeted programmes

·Ensure good relationships & communications with customer departments

·Maintain equipment & plant in suitable condition to meet agreed availability levels and give efficient running

·Ensure efficient use of maintenance resources sitewide by working closely with Plant Engineer peers on matters of common interest

·Ensure projects that are undertaken are returned on time and within agreed cost

·Work within project teams for the introduction of new products and ensure that plans harmonise with effective maintenance

·Assist and support the smooth and effective implementation of projects across the site

Skills / Experiences

Degree or HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical EngineeringMinimum 4 years post graduate experience, ideally in chemicals manufactureKnowledge of current Health & Safety, Quality and statutory legislationStrong organisational and planning skillsAble to think creatively and apply new and innovative techniques to bring business benefitDrive and commitment to deliver to tight timescalesAble to manage change, challenging existing systems for improvement opportunitiesMust have knowledge of DSEAR, ATEX, IEC 61508/61511 and safety instrumented systems
