Our client is a world leading testing, inspection, certification solution provider for the global consumer, electrical, wireless and automotive markets.

Due to continued growth, they are currently looking to recruit a Preparation Technician to work at their site in Warrington which provides a range of testing services to customers around the world.

Responsibilities and duties include:

To prepare samples for testing and evaluation.To carry out tests and evaluations as required by the management of the Company.To assist senior and other personnel to carry out tests, examinations as and when required to do so.To maintain a complete, accurate and traceable record of all work undertaken.To transport samples to and from the department as required.To carry out all tasks in a safe and efficient manner ensuring compliance with any statutory regulations.To observe good housekeeping in all areas required to work in.To check and advise on consumable stocks as requested.To observe all company rules, procedures and instructions.To check and advise on the condition of all equipment and tools required to work with.To carry out internal procedures such as calibrations when required to do so.To assist in the training of other staff when requested.To liaise with Company clients, suppliers and other parties when requested.Skills Required:

An ability to communicate at all levels is essential as are commitment and attention to detail. The candidate must also be willing to be flexible across various departments.Previous experience working within a testing environment would be ideal. However, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are numerate, logical able to follow instructions and can pay close attention to detail. Applicants must also have good basic levels of literacy and numeracy and good levels of computer literacy and communication skills.

The hours of work would be between 8.15am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.15am – 4.00pm on Friday however a flexible approach to working hours is required to meet the needs of the business. This vacancy is temporary on-going.
