Network Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager on a permanent basis for one of our clients based in a Children Centre in Slough, Berkshire.

The Children Centre is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career. The operating hours of the Nursery are 8am-6pm therefore it is important that candidates are available to work between these hours however hours will be worked on a shift basis not exceeding 40 hours per week. The sucessful candidate will be able to work their hours across four days if needed.

This is a fixed term contract until at least September with the possibility of being extended and is working directly for the client.

The Nursery offers spaces to children aged 0-5 years therefore experience working with this age group is essential along with excellent knowledge of EYFS. In addition to this, it is essential candidates hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or above and be willing to work towards a Level 4 qualification. Knowledge and experience of Children Centres is an advantage but not essential.

The main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Leading a team of staff including closely supervising and monitoring and undertaking supervisions.
To be responsible for all admissions in line with the admissions procedure for the Nursery.
Liaising with parents and/or carers.
Maintain the high standards of policy and procedure implementation.
Ensure a high standard of care and education is provided to all children within the Nursery.
Ensure regular staff meetings take place.
To oversee and be involved in the planning and implementation of a stimulating daily timetable of events that reflects the individual needs of the children within the Nursery.
Ensure appropriate ratio's are met at all times.
Contribute to the marketing and reputation of the company, whilst managing occupancy levels.

In return our client is offering: excellent salary of £24,000-£27,000 per annum depending on experience, a generous annual leave allowance, supportive management team, training and development opportunities, free car parking.
