This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse to work for an independent charity which was set up in 1861 which has been running for over 150yrs. This Home and Hospital cares for adults with severe disabilities and complex medical conditions. With four units it has a total capacity of 80 beds but can accommodate up to 127. The Home also offers palliative care using the recommended national Gold Standard Framework to support this specialist area of nursing.

The Charity is led by the Home Manager and a management team of qualified nurses who are on duty 24 hours a day and are supported by an established and well trained care team. Residents can be registered with our local GP practice which visits the home every day and takes responsibility for providing medical advice to the Home or if they prefer residents can chose to have their own GP.
The home's CQC inspection report is very good, with a supportive management structure which has very positive feedback.

Duties:

* Looking after the well-being of residents (meeting physical, emotional and social needs)
* Leading, Motivating, Mentoring, Training your team
* Carrying out assessments, developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans
* Safeguarding

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

* RGN qualification (newly qualified welcome)
* A demonstrable passion for caring for the elderly with an infirm flair for helping people maintain their independence and choice in homely surroundings.
* Proven ability to co-ordinate, care and prioritise task and willingness to coach, guide and support your team.
* Committed and flexible

The staff are experienced in caring for people with severe disabilities and life limiting, long-term complex health needs. They care for people who have progressive neurological conditions some of whom may require percutaneous endoscopic gastroscopy (PEG) feeding and who have acquired brain injury.
