Vacancy - Internal Telephone Sales person

Location - South West London, South London area

Industry - Electrical & Lighting Products

Salary - £negotiable + bonuses (up to circa £25K)

Working hours - Monday to Friday, Core hours: 08.00 to 17.00

Vacancy Description
The role will involve working in a small team of people.
Many customers choose to do business by telephoning the internal sales people who, with a combination of thorough product knowledge and top-class communication skills, are able to develop and satisfy the customers' requirements quickly and efficiently. Telephone sales can also act as a liaison between the external sales staff, the customers and the internal operations in order to provide exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities will include:
? Handling enquiries
? Quotations
? Customer terms
? Progressing
? Purchase orders
? Proactive selling
? Cancelling picking notes and sales registers
? Credit notes
? Use of computer system including quotations, enquiries, picking notes, back orders
? Trade Counter cover (see detail below)
? Ad hoc duties as required

Skills Required

Lighting or electrical wholesale sales experience
Polished communication skills (written and oral)
Computer literate (inc Microsoft Office)
Efficient and enjoy speaking to people on the phone
Coping with pressures and setbacks


Personal Qualities Required
A hard working polite team player.
A self-motivated person who understands the importance of getting the job done and/or responding to the customer as promised, and on time.
Should be punctual, well presented and like to operate in a clean and tidy manner.
Positive with a friendly "can do" attitude.
A good listener who is keen to learn, develop new skills and "get on" in the business.
Thoughtful and resourceful, someone who enjoys solving problems.
Qualifications Required
Good grade GCSE’s in Maths, English and IT, or equivalents. NVQ qualifications advantageous.

Trade Counter
The trade counter is a unique face to face selling opportunity in our business. A combination of good communication skills and product knowledge enables the counter sales person to assess customer needs quickly and fulfil them accurately. Responsibilities also include display merchandising and promotions.
Responsibilities will include:
? Attending the trade counter and managing cash sales inc input and print cash sale invoice, payment, distribution forms, end of day cash controls
? Cancelling a cash sale and raising a credit note
? Cash sales refunds inc cheque requests and forms
? Showroom facility (Merchandising/Displays/Promotions) ensuring showroom is pristine at all times representing the prestigious image of the company
