To be successful, you will be charismatic SEN Primary Teacher who has experience working with Special Educational Needs and 'English as an Additional Language' pupils and at least 1 year of teaching experience. As SEN Primary Teacher you will be able to adapt to various situations and bring a proactive approach to the role to go above what is expected of you. The school needs a teacher who has the empathy to form strong bonds with students with social, emotional behavioral difficulties and teach them effectively and an adaptable and professional teaching style.
About the SEN Primary Teacher Role
At this successful school, as a SEN Primary Teacher you will be responsible for establishing a close working relationship with a 'Outstanding' teacher who will act as your mentor, providing you with extra skills and knowledge that will turn you into a consistently 'Outstanding' practitioner. Your duties as SEN Primary Teacher will include taking classes to upper KS2 level, working closely with learning support assistants and the SLT. If you feel you are ready for more responsibility and can handle the pressures of leadership, a further position of Head of Sixth Form can become part of your role.
