Central Employment are looking to recruit a Marketing Data Analyst based in central London. We are delighted to be working with an indusry leading eCommerce, print organisation. The Marketing Data Analyst will support the Marketing team through the provision of actionable and insightful customer information.

This integral role will be responsible for the analysis of customer and product data from both internal and external sources. The Marketing Data Analyst will primarily use internal data software to provide analysis, insights and recommendations for marketing and product planning.

The position will play a vital role in helping to improve our marketing conversion metrics, predictions via modelling and overall, support and develop our customer retention strategy to successfully grow the business.


Creation and analysis of Marketing campaigns

  • Provision of customer selections for campaigns and communications based on agreed segmentation and profiling
  • Suitable data output format ready for Marketing use
  • Provide post campaign analysis highlighting future opportunities
  • Contribute to overall Marketing strategy

Develop customer reporting

  • Improve customer reporting particularly in relation to specific product ranges, customer retention to life time values
  • Develop report delivery methods through use of dashboards and daily updates
  • Provision of data to support relevant business as usual communications
  • Contribution to customer retention strategy

Database Lead

  • Manage data updates; customer persona and profile and data updates
  • Work with operational business to improve data selection processes
  • Work with our data agency partner to help integrate the data from the eCRM platform

Team responsibilities

  • Be a key member of the Marketing department and support colleagues with other ad-hoc reporting needs

Qualification, skills and capabilities

  • Proven advanced database and excel skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability leading to the provision of high quality management information
  • Commercial business partnering, ability to work closely with Marketing and the operational business, providing recommendations
  • Data process maintenance, control and streamlining
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent data analysis management skills, Experience of using one of the following: SPSS, Tableau, SAP BO, Cognos, Pentaho or other data software
  • Experience of providing and applying statistical/ marketing modelling for decision making within marketing
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, ability to work independently
  • Degree level education (preferred)
  • Experience of using Google Analytics and segmentation (preferred)
