My client, based in Gloucester are looking to add to their team with the addition of a Management Accountant to work alongside the Financial Controller predominately assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and improving current reporting capabilities.
You will already have some experience producing management accounts to at least first review stage and will be very comfortable with the concept of accruals, prepayments and monthly reconciliations from multiple systems. Previous budgeting and forecasting experience will also be advantageous. A part of the role will also be to add rigour to current processes, streamlining where possible, so any experience in this respect would be beneficial. There will also be a need to implement analysis of sales figures and improve day to day operational understanding so attention to detail and an enquiring mind is essential to be successful.
You should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a busy accounts department and be able to work well under pressure with the aid of your own initiative. The ability to manage and prioritize your own workload is essential. The ideal candidate will also possess a good understanding and working knowledge of Excel.
