Grafton Banks Finance is currently looking for a qualified Accountant to enhance the finance function of an established, global organisation based in Lewes. Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager the purpose of this position is to ensure the financial integrity of the UK operations, including internal controls and business partnering with the local management team. This includes all compliance and statutory reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities include

*Preparation of monthly management accounts for the region, including associated management reporting
*P&L and asset responsibility ensuring all capital additions are in line with Group investment guidelines
*Perform all major balance sheet and project margin reconciliations
*Reconcile and document accruals and prepaid expenses
*Support the preparation of all financial reports for the Group reporting and adhere to month end closing deadlines
*Ensure full reconciliation of the local accounts to Group reporting
*Manage/support the budgeting and forecasting process
*Provide ad-hoc financial analyses to the Country Manager and the Operational Managers
*Manage the working capital requirements, in particular the evolvement of the inventory balance
*Manage local tax and reporting obligations

The successful candidate will possess substantial financial and management accountancy experience and an enthusiastic personality. Ideally you will have previously worked with overseas entities around taxation and FX. You should have excellent team-working and decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. A driven and determined attitude is also required, together with strong analytical skills and good attention to detail.
