An exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer has arisen to join a manufacturer and distributor of technical components and solutions to a wide range of sectors.

SALARY: £30,000–£35,000 base + OTE: £38,000-£42,000.

BENEFITS: Company Car + Mobile + Expenses + Contributory Pension + Health Scheme + 20 days holiday rising to 25.

LOCATIONS: Northampton

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Oxford, Worcester, Watford, Leicester, Aylesbury, Reading.

THE COMPANY - Sales Engineer

We are a manufacturer and distributor of flow meters, gauges, valves and sensors including Pressure and Temperature to a wide range of markets including the Building Automation. They have been established for over 60 years and are well established in the UK which offers coverage across Europe, India and the Middle East.

After undergoing a strategic business review, they are now looking to strengthen their Sales team with a high calibre sales professional.

THE ROLE - Sales Engineer

We are now seeking an additional Sales Engineer to establish develop new business opportunities as well as managing some existing accounts.


* Develop further relationships and revenue streams with existing customer base as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities.
* Develop relationships with a wide range of customers across a number of sectors
* Submit and follow up quotations & deliver samples to new and potential customers.
* Work alongside an Internal Customer Service and Design team to ensure all KPI’s & SLA’s are managed effectively.
We are interested in receiving applications from candidates with the following:
* A field sales person with a proven track record of success looking to develop their career with a profitable company.
* Any knowledge of technical solution, Industrial consumables or components would be of particular interest, however not essential, as it is the quality of the applicant that is the most important.
* Preferably a technical qualification
* Commercially astute and consultative approach to new business development.
* Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
* Influencing skills and some experience of working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Real ‘can-do’ attitude.
* Self-motivated, ambitious, entrepreneurial, with excellent team player skills.
* A passion and drive to succeed with a bias towards New Business Development.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles in the past or currently:
Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Sales Executive, Territory Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager. Business Development Manager, Business Manager. For clarity this role is bias towards Business Development.
