Overview

The Bristol Outsourcing team is growing fast, having expanded by over 50% during the last year. It specialises in providing international accounting services outsourcing to global businesses. We now require a Senior Executive to help us deliver exceptional client service to our expanding client base.

Role

The Senior Executive will work as part of a dedicated team, taking responsibility for controlling a number of clients’ accounting operations, working directly with clients under manager supervision. The Senior Executive takes significant responsibility for management of the client and supporting team. They will have primary responsibility for ensuring that input, output and project management are of the highest quality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a number of projects including: review of accounts payable, payroll processing, employee expenses management, treasury, bank reporting, management reporting and compliance for a number of overseas entities which have been prepared by junior team members
  • Production and enhancement of regular management reporting
  • Assist Managers with transition and set up of new clients and entities
  • Dealing with multiple deadlines, and prioritisation of tasks to ensure client deadlines are met
  • Liaison with other offices and other streams as necessary
  • Liaison with clients on a regular basis, dealing with more complex issues which may arise
  • Ensure all clients’ needs are met in regards to answering queries promptly, building a rapport with the client and anticipating requirements
  • Provide clients with value-adding recommendations for improvements in processes and controls
  • Involvement in new client transitions with guidance from Managers, where appropriate
  • Be a leader in implementing process improvements and efficiencies
  • Maintain awareness of risk and deliver high quality documents
  • Become involved in at least 2 non-client projects/ad-hoc pieces of work to raise profile within the team
  • Flexibility to deal with changing situations and reporting deadlines
  • Supervise, coach, motivate and develop junior members of staff
  • Participation in sales and marketing activities
  • Initiate client take on and contracting
  • Becoming a contact point for client
  • Run client conference calls
  • Attend managed client meetings.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or qualified AAT Level 4
  • A level or equivalent qualifications
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting software supporting international operations highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in an accountancy practice or outsourcing environment highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with US clients desirable but not essential
  • Foreign languages useful but not essential
