Work Relief is recruiting on behalf of one of London’s most recognisable charities that specialises in the provision of support people with complex support needs enabling independent living through supported living

At an exciting time of expansion, we are now looking to recruit a Deputy Supported Living Services Manager to take responsibility for day to day leadership of supported living services including the management of a large support worker team - ensuring the highest levels of service delivery are met.

Hammersmith / Ravenscourt Park, West London

Full Time (include some evenings, weekend on rota)

£22,000 - £24,500 per annum depending on experience

This is a managerial position where the successful candidate will lead in the service delivery and provision of support to clients with complex support needs such as learning disabilities and mental health issues

Key duties will include:

  • Be responsible for supervision and support of the staff team
  • Develop and lead the service using person centred approaches in enabling the service users to live the life they choose
  • Manage and develop a team of staff
  • Be responsible for the delivery of a quality service
  • Overseeing the development of effective support plans for each service user; ensuring the full and active
  • Monitoring the quality of each individual’s service to ensure quality
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress against support plans
  • Preparing, carrying out and implementing risk assessments and strategies, making sure that other staff are aware of risk issues

This is a super role within the charity which will inevitably lead to the successful candidate carving a career within this organisation and charity sector. We see this as an ideal role for a Senior Support Worker or Manager / Service Delivery Manager / Programme Manager / Project Manager / Care Manager / Team Leader or Supervisor or anyone who has a proven track record in managing support service delivery project in a social, community or charitable setting.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Provenrecordindeliveringhighqualityservicesto peoplewithlearningdisabilities,autismor complexneeds
  • Significant experience of working with adults in a community setting who have complex needs, challenging behaviour or communication difficulties
  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities
  • Experience of effectively supervising staff and managing performance
  • Experience of developing and implementing risk management strategies
  • Experience of managing a service/staff team.
  • Experience of working in an accommodation based service
