A superb opporutnity has arisen for an experienced Buyer to join their team in Central MK.

My client is a leading office supplies and business solutions provider and this position is a critical one to heavily assist with day to day operations.

By working with suppliers and internal personnel, you will be integral to maintain pricing and delivery schedules as well as being the liaision between supply and customer orders. In achieving these, you will deliver the best quality service experience for all orders on a daily basis.

What you will be doing:

* Order progressing and chasing
* Assisting with the daily purchase order placing
* Managing Supplier Work in Progress
* Backorders
* Reduction of additional supplier charges
* Setup of suppliers onto back office system
* Ensuring that any out of stocks Order Lines are fulfilled daily
* Pro-Active switching of Supplier and Wholesaler out of stocks
* Consolidation of supplier base

About you:

* Proven experience of buying
* CIPS qualification desirable
* Good level of IT Skills
* Ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong numeracy skills
* Attention to detail
* Commercial acumen
