Technical Accountant - London - £80,000 - £90,000
Our client is a leading insurance business based in the City. They are recruiting for a Technical Accountant to assist with there IFRS implementation and other new reporting requirements. This role will be a 6 - 9 month Fixed Term Contract.
Main responsibilities as a Senior Technical Accountant will be:
Evaluate new financial reporting requirements and oversee their implementation.
Implementation of IFRS 17 previously referred to as IFRS 4 Phase II
Share information about financial reporting developments to the firm's wider Finance community
Contribute to the development of accounting and provide advice to the business and other functions, such as Risk, Treasury and Tax, on accounting policy issues and on the financial reporting aspects of transactions
Assisting in other group reporting requirements
The Ideal Technical Accountant will be:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- IFRS 17 technical knowledge
Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm, insurance specialist accountancy firm or multinational company.
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Ability to use own initiative and to work well alone and as part of a team.
