R13 recruitment are working in affiliation with an Ofsted Outstanding graded, incredibly successful training provider to recruit for a Centre Manager at their Great Yarmouth centre. The organisation support young people who may be disabled, disadvantaged or dis-engaged with mainstream education to improve their employment prospects via gaining functional skills and vocational qualifications. You will be responsible for planning, directing and co-ordinating the positions of all staff and ensuring teaching schemes and lesson plans are in line with current requirements and are consistent across all centres. You will have experience of successfully managing and supervising staff within the training / education sector.

Duties to include:
* Maintaining a visible presence in learning sessions, monitoring the engagement of learners, checking progress and supporting behaviour management issues.
* Overseeing the growth and team management through internal QA’s, learner retention, learner growth, safeguarding, H&S, training, success monitoring and auditing.
* Review and assure staff and learner punctuality, ensure hours are adhered to and delivered.
* Planning, directing and co-ordinating the positions of all staff within the centre.
* Ensuring schemes and lesson plans meet requirements and are consistent across sites.
* Assisting with selection, interview and engagement of applicants for programmes.
* Allocating learners to tutors, monitoring caseloads and performance regularly.
* Review learner files and records, ensuring they are accurate and meet audit requirements.
* Monitoring and updating H&S paperwork on a regular basis.
* Managing and reviewing programme KPI’s to assure optimal achievement.
* Carrying out self-assessment reports of the centre on a monthly basis, reporting findings back to the Area Manager and Director.
* Supporting implementation of Functional Skills, Skills for Life Strategy and action plans.
* Managing quality, processes and procedures, ensuring they are effectively implemented.
* Liaising with referral agencies on a regular basis, ensuring an awareness of the company.

You will have/be:
* Experience of managing and motivating staff within the training and education sector.
* Relevant management qualification.
* Track record of experience in achieving excellent outcomes relating to pass rates /engagement.
* Results driven and outcome focussed approach to work.
* Ability to effectively deal with challenging behaviour.
* Experience of handling safeguarding issues is desirable.
* Strong leadership skills, coupled with the ability to influence and motivate.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety in an educational environment.
* Working knowledge of equal opportunities and diversity in an operational level.
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm. Offered salary of up to £30,000 DOE.
