Sales Engineer - Capital Machinery
A Global automated machinery solutions provider who operates throughout numerous industry sectors from FMCG to Automotive manufacturing are currently seeking a Sales Engineer to cover South/South West England.
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the development of existing business accounts whilst also generating new business opportunities through selling the company's range of products and high-end solutions.
Working from a home base, you will be tasked with identifying business opportunities, arranging customer visits and undertaking quotation presentations. You also will work with system integrators to ensure their development of the company's products and solutions and ensure your customer base is receiving the right maintenance and servicing on a regular basis
Other key activities include working with R&D on bespoke customer requirements, conduct market & competitor analysis, promote the launch of new products and services via attending trade events, conferences and exhibitions. Regular travel will be expected, primarily within the UK but with some overseas travel to be undertaken as required.
Suitable candidates will hold at least 3-years' experience within a similar position; selling automation solutions or capital machinery. Previous technical sales experience is key to this position, ideally within an international matrix organisation. You will be qualified, ideally to HNC or HND level or similar within a relative Engineering discipline.
You'll also need the confidence and ability to communicate well across all levels, with strong presentation & negotiation skills. A good eye for detail and excellent customer service skills are a must.
