Account Manager: Drug Discovery Reagents, Assay Development and Antibody Screening: UK (Except Eastern England): Basic £30-£40K + £15KOTE+ car allowance

Privately held innovative company committed to improving human healthcare seeks a Scientific Account Manager to cover the UK (excluding Eastern England)

Be responsible for the overall HTRF business activities the UK market (outside of Eastern England area). In particular, develop, identify, qualify and close sales opportunities in the UK market (pharmaceutical, biotech and academic labs) for HTRF reagents, custom services and related products. Create and manage sales and local Marketing initiatives, incorporating current and evolving customer requirements. Extensive travel domestically and, upon occasion, internationally e.g. to Head Office France and attendance at industry related meetings.

Position Responsibilities
*Assist achievement of UK top and bottom line objectives for the HTRF product line and custom services. Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities in the UK biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO and academic customer base.
*Develop and close new business as well as maintaining the existing accounts.
*Work closely with HTRF Applications Scientist to ensure successful execution of HTRF technology for customers.
*Provide primary source of market/customer intelligence to assist business development strategy and to maximise company competitiveness and success. *Communicate current and evolving customer needs to assist Research and Development strategy.
*Prepare and implement sales forecasts in association with management to maximise product lines sales and business development.
*Identify promotional and other marketing support needs. Contribute to Marketing Plan development.
*Support trade show promotion by attendance at Drug Discovery industry related meetings.
*Organise co-marketing events with local Plate Reader manufacturers e.g. Joint Workshops
*Maintain and update CRM.

Required skills and experience
*MSc or PhD in Life Sciences, ideally in Immunology, Pharmacology or Biochemistry.
*Located in Oxford or South/SW/W London.
*Good knowledge of Immunology reagent market, e.g. ELISAs and HTRF.
*2-5 Years experience of selling Drug Discovery reagents.
*Strong communication and presentation skills, able to communicate effectively and succinctly both verbally and in writing.
*Capacity to travel 70% in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland
*Located Oxford or London
