Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with a market leading business, who are seeking a Project Accountant. The position is based in the UK head office of this exciting organisation. You will be a part of a fast growing team, with future progression and development opportunities available for the successful individual.

This role will play an integral part of the Finance team, providing the business with support and guidance and assisting in the development of tools to predict report and maintain project and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintenance of Project, Contract and cost data in ERP and preparation and control of contract related Sales Invoices.
- Delivery of accurate, timely results for periodic revenue and profit trading.
- Control of project accounting through setting of approved project financial performance targets.
- Report and maintain actual & predicted project results.
- Attendance at bid reviews to assess and approve financial criteria for proposed submissions.
- Preparation of general ledger journals necessary for the production of monthly accounts.
- Ensure deviations to project financial performance are captured, understood and approved.

The role ideally suits an individual studying towards a professional accounting qualification, ACCA / CIMA, however this is not essential and consideration will be given to applicants with relevant experience.

Candidates will have experience of Project Accounting, ideally from within an engineering environment or similar with strong IT skills with advanced Excel knowledge.
