Cook (part- time, term time)
We are seeking a creative and confident cook to provide nutritious, wholesome and predominately organic meals for one or more of our residential houses, for up to 20 people at the time. An understanding of special dietary needs, effective portion control and menu planning principles will be essential, as will be knowledge of food hygiene and safety within a catering context. The ability to design a varied menu within a fixed budget will be one of your skill and you’ll have a strong appreciation of how food intake contributes to health and wellbeing.
Formal training and related qualifications are advantageous, but not essential, as we will support you to undertake formal personal development if desired.
The Sheiling, Ringwood is an independent special school and college providing residential and day services. Based in a beautiful environment you will have the opportunity to make a real and positive difference in the lives of our students.
Hours of work: 20 per week for 38 weeks per year
Salary: c. £6,000pa
