Business Development Consultant - Luton (M1 Corridor) - £25-£28k basic (plus bonus) - Permanent

Are you an experienced Sales Consultant or Business Development professional? Have you worked in a role generating business from cold calling? Do you have experience of employer engagement within the Further Education or Apprenticeships sector?

Working for a leading National Training Provider, your aim will be to increase the number of businesses and learners who take part in their government funded training schemes. You will work from home & visit clients. The main crux of your role will begin with cold calling businesses, promoting government funded training and following this up with subsequent meetings with Key Decision Makers.

The ideal candidate will be able to cover any business along the M1 Corridor - Milton Keynes to Watford.

The role will include:

  • Calling the decision makers of businesses to promote the idea of upskilling current employees
  • Undertaking various sales activities, such as cold calling and meeting holding
  • To generate and attain new learners each month on to viable Apprenticeship/Upskilling courses
  • Generate own leads and appointments

Essential Experience:

  • Sales Experience
  • Proven track record of sourcing & closing new business opportunities
  • Selling training or courses
  • Experience of building strong relationships with decision makers
  • Presentation, Administration and IT skills
