DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Setting up and clearing away of childcare premises in line with standards set down by Ofsted.

2.To prepare activities for sessions as outlined in planned activity programme.

3.To carry out administrative procedures in relation to attendance.

4.Liaise with parents and carers regarding aspects of their child's development.

5.Work with children, encouraging them to fully participate in all activities offered to develop their social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional skills under the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

6.To carry out assessments on children's learning and development including observations, using the EYFS framework.

7.Ensure policies of the project, particularly in respect of equal opportunities, confidentiality, child protection and health and safety, are followed.

8.Ensure hygiene and safety procedures are followed in line with guidelines set down by Ofsted.

9.Attend staff meetings and participate in training to update skills and knowledge relating to childcare.

10.To prepare snacks and refreshments ensuring hygiene and safety issues are adhered to.
11.Ensure childcare premises and equipment is cleaned on a regular basis.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

HOURS OF WORK35 hours per week.

HOLIDAYS33 days including bank holidays.

APPOINTMENTAppointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and a successful CRB check.

TRAVELLING EXPENSES45p per mile, on authorisation by line manager.
