About the Job

Care UK currently delivers a Musculoskeletal Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service (MSK CATS) Service across the Lincolnshire Region. The MSK CATS service is a referral based appointment service, meaning that patients will have to be referred on via their own GP. Our clinicians then assess the patient’s referral and decide on which service and course of treatment will be best for them. We deliver a fast-track, rapid access service and aim to see our patients within 2 weeks of referral from their GP and aim to have completed their initial care within 4 – 6 weeks.

We have a job opening for an Extended Scope Practitioner Physiotherapist to join our MSK CATS team on a full-time permanent basis.

Lincolnshire MSK CATS operates from six convenient locations across Lincolnshire which are listed below. All of the sites are within existing health centres and hospitals. You will be required to travel between these locations as part of your job, so having a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is a must!

• North Hykeham Health Centre, North Hykeham
• Marisco Medical Practice, Mablethorpe
• Trentside Rehabilitation Centre, John Coupland Hospital, Gainsborough
• Louth County Hospital, Louth
• Skegness Health Clinic, Skegness
• Parkside Medical Centre, Boston

Within this job you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing patients referred to the MSK CATS service from GP consultants and other AHPs. You will be required to refer patients onto other consultants or AHPs for an expert medical opinion (e.g. physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy) or to request medical procedures that are outside of the scope of physiotherapy (e.g. x-rays, MRI and pathology).

This is an exciting opportunity to provide a convenient MSK CATS service to patients in Lincoln, whilst reducing waiting times within the NHS.
