The school:

An expanding Primary school in Guildford for boys with Behavioural and Emotional needs. Most students have been excluded from mainstream school or are not suited to mainstream learning environments. Therefore classes are much smaller (Up to 10 pupils per class) and timetables are tailored to each individuals need. The curriculum is varied and practical with integrated counselling and therapy sessions.

The position(s):

The school are looking for a number of Positive Behaviour Assistants to join their committed team. You will be assisting the classroom teacher as well as providing ongoing support for 5-11 year olds either in small groups or on a one to one basis. Your role will be to help students progress academically and develop their social skills whilst monitoring behaviour, offering advice and guidance when required.

The person:

You will need to be a confident person who is passionate about helping children learn. You will value education and ideally have relevant experience working with 5-11 year olds whether in or outside of a school setting. It is a challenging environment to work in so you must be resilient and be able to see positives from negative situations. You will also need to enjoy working with others
