Our client is seeking a Legal Advisor who will play a key role in our clients business ensuring that appropriate advice and guidance is provided to the Operational and Commercial teams in a timely and appropriate manner, to ensure that business service levels are met and maintained.

Our client is a UK based FCA regulated organisation is a leading provider of business process services for the life and pension industry, administering over 11 million policies on behalf of our clients. We deliver a wide range of services including Customer Services, IT and Change Management and providing an excellent customer service is at the heart of everything we do.

About the Legal Advisor role:

Your role will involve providing first line legal advice and guidance across the organisation in various areas of UK and international law in an In House role. This will include but not limited to contract, commercial, trusts, family and testate law as as they apply to a Life and Pensions Administration business. Your role will also require you to identify and report key legal risks/threats facing the company and its clients and also ensure that business units are advised of any legislative changes and case-laws that could affect the conduct of the company's business.

To apply for the role you will need to have worked for 3+ years in a professional legal capacity with the appropriate legal qualifications. You will need to have good commercial awareness and have strong interpersonal skills as you will be communicating with a number of key stakeholders in the business.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years professional legal qualifications aligned with practical professional experience
  • Barrister, solicitor or legal executive qualified essential
  • Good commercial awareness and able to identify commercial opportunities and legal risks
  • Flexible approach to work/activities to ensure that deliverables are met
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks.
  • Proactive and able to work under own initiative
  • Results oriented
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills
