Elevation Recruitment Group are currently seeking a knowledgeable and driven Payroll Officer for a large well known business in Barnsley. The role will report to the Payroll Team Leader and will be working as part of a fast growing accounts team. This opportunity is being offered on a 6 month contract basis.

Payroll Officer Duties & Responsibilities:

- Ensuring the monthly payroll, and associated procedures, meet all required deadlines, accuracy and quality targets
- Assisting in the monitoring, evaluation and development of internal payroll procedures and in the implementation of new systems and procedures when these occur
- Collating and processing sickness information and SSP
- Payroll references
- Issuing outstanding salary cheques and distribution to teams
- Checking and supporting payroll across the whole business
- P45 production/distribution
- Monitoring and processing changes to bank details and personal details
- Processing starters and leavers
- Assisting in Management of Pension deductions via payroll
- Filling and ensuring all administration documentation procedures are maintained
- Assisting with the process for all duties related to P11Ds
- Ensuring that the Payroll system is regularly maintained and updated

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently looking for individuals with the following skills and experience:

- At least 2 years experience within payroll
- Strong communication skills
- Good IT skills/ knowledge
