We are currently recruiting for an experienced Web Developer for a reputable and rapidly expanding Solicitors based in Manchester. The role offers a salary of £25,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a childcare scheme.

About The Role:

  • Maintain and develop our existing suite of websites
  • Liaising with the Marketing and Leadership team to update the website with content
  • Assist the existing team in developing new solutions to improve UX
  • Design prototypes of pages and features within testing environments
  • Become the go-to person for advice on web technologies (e.g. CSS, JavaScript, HTML5)
  • Learn and work with existing frameworks and script libraries (e.g. JQuery, angular.js)
  • Continuously strive to improve and standardise design across the business
  • Provide frontend support of existing websites (e.g. cross browser issues)
  • Work closely with the development team to follow and build on existing development process
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create campaign graphics, logos and banners
  • Keep up to date with the latest in web design concepts, styles and technologies


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Innovative and creative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with WordPress CMS
  • Working knowledge and understanding of HTML5, CSS, PHP and Javascript
  • Familiarity with MySQL server for database administration
  • Preferably experience of implementing payment platforms such as PayPal and Google Wallet
  • Experience of working in a professional creative environment
  • Desirable to have knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver)
