Delfryn House & Lodge

Delfryn is a 58-bed site, specialising in psychiatric rehabilitation for men and woman across site. It provides state-of-the-art facilities and multi disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist patients with return to independent living.

The multi-disciplinary team at Delfryn is made up of medical, psychology, nursing and occupational therapy staff. These staff members work in partnership with the patient and with individual community teams to ensure that treatment programs match the patient’s needs and expectations and the requirements of future community placement.

We are looking to recruit dynamic individuals to work with our patients at Delfryn. Applicants should have a positive outlook, be self-motivated and have the ability to work on their own initiative, although the team approach is essential.

Job Role

Cambian Delfryn is looking for Registered Mental Health Nurses to join the team for their specialist mental health site in Flintshire.

You will be encouraged to contribute to, and influence the development of active care. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you must be able to show initiative, demonstrating clear decision making and organisational skills. You will be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual patient programs of care. You will have a focus on risk assessment and risk assessment strategies, ensuring that the requirements of the care program approach are met.

Additionally you will support empowerment of the patients with particular regard to their dignity, rights and advice.

Individuals should be fully conversant with the Mental Health Act and it’s recent updates; have an understanding of the latest nursing practices as well as the local and national agenda’s that impact on nursing practice and patient care.

Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people and Service Users you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.
