CNC Turner- Setter - Operator


Late Shift - 2pm - Midnight

£10 - £13ph + 15% Shift Allowance

Main Purpose and Objectives of the role

In the role you will be setting CNC lathes. You will work on a variety of high tolerance aerospace components and other precision parts to the standards required. Maintain all quality and safety standards.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain specifications; taking measurements and recording in Control Plans; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills & Experience

  • Engineering Apprenticeship with knowledge of ISO code programming.

  • Demonstrate experience within Aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • Be able to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by the customer.

  • Understand the day's targets, report any issues.

  • Housekeeping.

  • Process adherence / Data collection adherence.

  • Solve the root cause of unexpected problems.

  • Attention to Detail.

  • Be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.

  • Experience of Mazatrol controls
