GPS have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking Project Engineer, capable of delivering Project Execution to meet and exceed customers expectations. As Project Engineer you must adopt a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of the role including maintaining the quality system and reports (8D).

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with sales to ensure the effective transfer of projects from sales into production.
• Communicate with EC&I and Mechanical Engineers to review integration of equipment.
• Plan and communicate effectively internal and external resource to deliver Budget and timescales, as POC for Project.
• Attend client meetings as required to expedite the running of the project and ascertain solutions.
• Be contractually aware in identifying project change which may have commercial implication, and implement internal/external requirements.
• Report monthly project financial performance to the engineering Manager.
• Liaise with Engineering Department to effect full integration of all design requirements into the overall project.
• Review and approve, as required, G.A. Drawings and Detailed Manufacturing Drawings to the company’s standards to ensure Quality Gate compliance.
• Ensure all design documents are completed, reviewed and released to ensure Quality Gate compliance.
• Compilation of traceability matrix to show compliance with client’s specification with respect to design reviews and Design Qualification (DQ).
• Ensure all relevant fan calculations and any other performance related specification is completed.
• Ensure all ERP/SAP requirements are met.
• Assembly of work instruction packages in order to affect efficient transfer of projects from the design environment to assembly / site.
• Delivery of Project on time and within Budget.
• Support of Engineering team members with respect costs and time constraints.

Qualifications/Experience Required:
• HNC Mechanical Engineering / HNC Electrical Engineering
• Project Management Qualification (PRINCE 2 etc.)
• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks Knowledge
• EC Machinery Directive
• PLC and HMI Programming Knowledge (Desirable)
• Customer Relationship Management
• Experienced in Multiple Project Management
• Commercial Awareness
• Project Planning
• Budget Management

Salary is Negotiable on experience
