The Coal Authority has an opportunity for a Principal Manager - Information Management to join the team based in Mansfield. You will work on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a highly competitive salary of £34,068 - £52,621 per annum (dependant on experience).

Working within the Information Management department, this role will require you to lead and manage the mining information team in the delivery of information services, corporate objectives and targets.

As our Principal Manager - Information Management, you will need:
- A degree qualification or equivalent or demonstrable experience in mining, minerals or geotechnical engineering or information management
- Experience of using information in a GIS application
- Experience of working with customers and the general public
- Proven leadership skills
- ESRI application experience
- GI and IT systems development and testing experience

As our Principal Manager - Information Management you will be:
- Effectively lead and manage the mining information team in the update of information and delivery of mining information services
- Set team objectives, milestone and targets
- Undertake mining information update tasks and services in support of team activity
- Assist the Head of Mining Information in the delivery of corporate strategy and statutory obligations
- Deliver corporate objectives and targets
- Manage the Mining Information team budget, personal development and objectives of line reports including PMS
- Manage the maintenance, provision, accuracy and completeness of mining and mineral information, but also extending to the management of environmental, operational and other information and datasets across the Authority as part of the normal operation of the business, as delegated by the Head of Mining Information
- Assess and interpret mining and mineral related issues for coal and other minerals with the view of managing related data and the provision of advice services
- Ensure that the Authority satisfies its statutory obligations in the provision of information
- Manage an effective information service to customers
- Ensure the organisation has the information required to support its business decisions
- Act as the point of contact for the Mining Information team
- Effectively deal with customer technical queries, problems and complaints as directed by the line manager and policy
- Engage in the development of products, services and systems
- Support and develop opportunities for mining information services both internally and externally
