The average vehicle age is rising every year in the UK and with more complex electronics getting older, the diagnostic tool market is set to be the fastest growing sector in the automotive market in the next 2-3 years. Due to this growth, a worldwide diagnostic equipment manufacturer is looking to increase their footprint in the market by increasing their salesforce.

The objective of the business development manager should come as no surprise; develop, maintain and establish relationships with distribution partners to increase the overall sales turnover in your target patch to supply diagnostic equipment to all areas of the automotive market.

To be a successful business development manager in this role it would be heavily advantageous to have a passion for diagnostics and the vehicle repair process. Prior experience using diagnostics is a big plus as live demonstrations will be a big part of this role to showcase the capabilities of the machine and ultimately achieve the sale (training will of course be given so prior experience is not essential).

As you can be trained on the product range, the key focus for the employer is your field sales experience. We are looking for mentally agile individuals who can look at new routes to market, drive sales, foster relationships and converse at all levels.
