Position: Project Surveyor

Location: Redhill

Salary: up to £65k+ generous package

My client are one of the United Kingdom’s largest main contractor that covers a variety of sectors across the construction industry. They have an annual turnover of over £1bn and employee over 2000 people and are able to boast a history of working on some of the country’s most prestigious and iconic projects.

This role is based in Redhill working in their Southern office. The work conducted out of this office will mainly focus in new build residential projects varying form £5-£70m pounds in value.

They are looking for an experienced Project surveyor who have run their own projects with a value of at least £5m. Alternatively they will also consider surveyors with a minimum 5 years’ experience who have worked as a number 2 on project up to £20m and are looking to progress their career by running on of their own projects.

My Client are offering a highly competitive salary, bonus scheme, 26 days holiday, car allowance, travel to site, great career prospects and excellent training opportunities including help with the APC. The projects are new build projects although previous residential experience is not essential.

Duties will include;

Regularly monitoring project objectives and facilitate process changes where appropriateAbility to form and develop relationships with all stakeholders including client, PQS, design teams and supply chainEnsuring the team understand project accountabilities and objectivesAgreeing external valuations/ cash flow to maximise project valueDemonstrating understanding of internal and external tender strategies/ build upInteracting with the project team to maximise project procurement, production and commercial strategiesAgreeing and producing main and sub contract final accounts with the Surveying ManagerEnsuring all subcontract documentation meets health and safety standards

The successful individual will be highly motivated and ambitious, with a strong work ethic, an incisive mind and will be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen. They will be degree educated and will couple this with at least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry. Previous experience working on residential projects is desired but not essential.
