Regulatory Reporting Manager City of London Global Trading & Wholesale Banking Client Details Regulatory Reporting Manager City of London Global Trading & Wholesale Banking Description Regulatory Reporting Manager This role requires: * The development and maintenance of good relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to effectively communicate recommendations/other information * Developing others: giving specific feedback for developmental purposes and arranging appropriate assignments/training to foster the team's learning and development * Impact and influence: the ability to develop a sequence of factual and logical arguments to guide others to a desired conclusion whilst ensuring others understand complex information * Team leadership: Ability to motivate and inspire team and ensure that they buy in to the Framework * Significant knowledge of businesses, particularly with regard to the UK and Irish subsidiary entities * Significant knowledge of prudential regulatory rules and requirements, particularly with regard to EBA, PRA, FCA and CBoI Key Deliverables: * Review specific PRA, FCA and Central Bank of Ireland returns for all UK and Ireland based entities, these are primarily focused on financial reporting, leverage, large exposures and capital. Ensure robust working papers and supporting documentation which would withstand regulatory scrutiny * Work with the UK team responsible for liquidity reporting to ensure that best practise is followed and any business or regulatory changes are correctly implemented * Update relevant policy documentation, e.g. ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan. This includes stress testing as required and development of associated documentation to provide to subsidiary Boards and other stakeholders * Ensure appropriate framework is in place to review daily large exposure and liquidity monitoring * Review reporting procedures to identifying and resolve problems * Maintain a level of awareness with respect to new/existing business areas and associated financial products * Assess any regulatory developments that may impact the reporting process or requirements (Basel, EBA, PRA, FCA, CBoI) * Undertake ad hoc tasks to include researching, accounting treatments & general administration * Establish relationships with relevant persons internal and external to the organization to ease the transfer and communication of information on a timely basis Managerial Responsibilities: * Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank * Direct, train and develop staff to enable them to meet challenges, department objectives and achieve full potential * Work with Human Resources to recruit staff with the correct level of skills and competencies, adhering to the Bank's recruitment procedures and best practices * Manage the performance of the department ensuring staff have clear pre-set objectives and get regular feedback on their performance. Ensure performance appraisals are conducted in line with Company policy and standards * Provide leadership, direction, advise and guidance to the team, thus maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation and morale * Maintain staff competence by ensuring that staff skills or knowledge gaps are met with appropriate training and development, so they are able to perform to their maximum capability and fulfill their potential * Initiate actions to further improve your own and the team stills and performance.
