Role – Project Engineer

Salary – £25,000 – £35,000

Location – Dudley

The Company

My client is a specialist fabrication business with over thirty years trading history with clients in the power generation, water treatment, mining and recycling markets amongst many others. The company have been trading since the 80s and have a well-established and loyal client base. They are privately owned and have a great reputation within their industry. The business has ambitious plans to increase their revenue over the next 5 years.

They are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the manufacture and delivery of conveyor and pipework based projects from initial order to site installation. The role can offer someone the chance to put their stamp on the company in terms of new processes and fresh ideas.

The Role

The role of Project Engineer will involve:

Working on various fabrication/welding projects for products such as conveyors, pipework and hoppers.

*
Site measurements with the sales team.

*
Production meetings to discuss the order that has been won.

*
Agreeing installation parameters.

*
Organising the quality and safety packs for the customer.

*
Putting together method statement documentation.

*
Producing manufacturing drawings (AutoCAD) for the shop floor to manufacture.

*
Producing working instructions for the workshop.

*
Job is then walked through with the site teams.

*
Managing changes to order, timescales, completion and issues to the customer.

*
The successful candidate could be away up to a week (once every six months) at a time at most but likely to be one night a week as an average.

*
Value of projects – £250 to 150K

The Person

To be successful as a Project Engineer you will need:

*
Previous experience in any kind of project related role.

*
Previous experience working with welding or fabrication processes.
