Divisional Manager/Chemist required for role based in the North of England in the Concrete products / additives industry.
The client specialises in the sales and manufacture of speciality additives used in the dry bagged mortar industry and the role will involve varies resposibilities, to inc -
1. Sales and Technical support responsibilities: - Service existing accounts, obtain orders, establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets / Support the sale and the integration of the products into the manufacturing process of the client through product demonstrations, on-site support, laboratory product development in concert with the lab staff / Increase sales by targeting new areas of opportunity; new markets, new and existing product development to meet market and customer demands / Drive the attainment of company sales goals and profitability with distributor sales partners.

2. The role also includes some Product Management - which can be defined as follows:
Develop products by identifying new/potential products which can add value to our customer's manufacturing process; maintain a high level of market trend awareness to ensure all new trends are monitored and considered, determine product qualification specifications to allow competition in various markets, product costing and pricing, developing marketing strategies.
Chemist/Product Manager Job Duties: - Respond to customers' requirements by understanding the chemistry needed to meet market demand / Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.

It is likely that the successful applicant will have a Polymer or Cement Chemistry degree or background, with previous product management experience in a
Construction Chemical Product Development role. You must have strong commercial analysis skills; Pricing, Planning, Competitive Analysis, Sales Planning, Inventory Control etc.
